Can I take this course?

You can take this course as soon as you’re a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver. The sooner you take it, the sooner you’ll be diving confidently, effortlessly and worry-free, hovering easily whilst observing amazing aquatic life without disturbing the surroundings. Becoming a confident, skilled diver starts with excellent buoyancy control, which is what this excellent and highly popular PADI Specialty course delivers (and means your tank lasts longer!)

If you’re passionate about protecting the ocean by clearing trash that’s strangling our underwater world, this is a must do course.

What will I learn?

This course is a whole heap of fun. During the two training dives, we’ll have you swimming through hoops, Matrix / kung-foo fighting, ‘Mission Impossible’ hovering, playing around with your weights and distribution, body position, and all sorts of fun things to hone your bouyancy skills – and confidence.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Determine how to calculate and use the exact weight you need, so you’re not too light or too heavy.
  • Trim your weight system and scuba gear so you’re perfectly balanced in the water.
  • Streamline to save energy, use air more efficiently and move more smoothly through the water.
  • Hover effortlessly in any position – vertical or horizontal.

How can I start learning now?

There’s only one Knowledge Review to complete – this course focuses more on practical skills application to improve your diving and confidence, so there is no eLearning program for this course.

Instead, swing by The Dive Bus or your local PADI dive shop back home and pick up your PADI Adventures in Diving manual…
